Faith Morgan, B.S. Ed.,MPP/Family-Child is MAFAC's Executive Director and Chief Consultant. A veteran of the Education, Family Support and Family/Child
Policy fields for over 20 years, Faith has held a range of positions including Director, Social Services Manager, Education
Coordinator, Family Support Worker and Teacher across Eastern Massachusetts. Faith
is a Federation-trained Special Education Advocate and a member of the Special Needs Advocacy Network (SPAN) as well
as the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA).
As Administrator of inclusionary
programs-- for typically developing children as well as those who have special needs or who are at-risk --Faith has had the
privilege of working with children and families from all walks of life. She has been a lecturer at Salem State University,
a panelist at Simmons College and has presented widely at the New England Kindergarten Conference and MAEYC Conference among
other conferences and venues. From 1994-1996, Faith oversaw childcare for Boston Red Sox player families and
has served as a Domestic Violence Resource Person for the Community Partnerships for Children. She has worked with
many families, individually and in group trainings, on areas from behavior to "toilet learning" to Special Education
Advocacy. Ms. Morgan holds a Master's in Public Policy, with a focus in Family and
Child Policy, from Tufts University, and a Bachelor of Science in Education, with a concentration in Early Childhood Development.
She is certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and has specialized training in many areas including Special Education
Law; Children and Trauma; Miesels Work Sampling; The Right Question Project; and The Creative Curriculum. Her
work with educational programs centers around Emergent, Project-based curriculum; Literacy Rich Environments; Classroom and
Behavior Management; and the seamless incorporation of IFSP's, IEP's, IHCP's and Transition Plans into daily life
and curriculum.
In addition to her advocacy and consulting work, Ms. Morgan does both
direct and indirect lobbying around Child and Family legislation. She has worked on numerous pieces of legislation,
locally and nationally, and testified before legislative committees such as the Joint Committee on Education.
Ms. Morgan brings her rich background --an abundant mixture of education and experience-- and a vast network
of professional relationships and associations to the service of Massachusetts families and educational programs. Below are
